Nov 28 - New Feature!
Woot! Firstly, Happy Thanksgiving loves! Okies, I have to say that I'm right proud of this site and its members! *huggles* We are in a slow spot right now, but I've the joy to say that a new feature is available. You can now purchase special powers/magics for your wolf to further make your wolf stick out of the crowd. Now, we don't tolerate powerplaying/ godmoding and fully expect you guys to not go crazy. You purchase the new magics OOC in the Wonderwhy Shop. Look through H E R E and enjoy this new feature. If you have any suggestions for new powers, please head on right over to the feedback board of the site.

15 Nov 09 - Updates! Announcements!
Hey loves! Eggy and Spicky have created a new section in the W O L F . S P E C I E S page called "Lore of the Species". It pretty much covers the overall interactions between the species as well as having a little legend for the pups. Also! Revvy, because of her hard work as a mod has been promoted to an Admin. Say your congrats to her! We have had many new members join since our last update and I think the revised Game Guide as well as the various help threads have really helped our Wonderwhy family grow and also our current family to understand better without asking questions. There are five packs now. Also--we are going to re-do the staff side-table images soon and that's why you don't see Revvy listed as an admin yet!
Feedback Wonderwhy appreciates suggestions and will gladly answer any questions you may have. Post both here, and participate in threads about the forum that could use your input!
Wolf Profiles (8 sub-boards) Here, you make your wolf's biography; once you have completed the entire form, wait until your character is accepted before you start to roleplay.
Character Development (3 sub-boards) Should you want to spice up your character's life, you should start here. Collaborate with other members, create the next generation of wolves, or make a "Scrapbook" thread for the ultimate character personalization!
Pack Life (5 sub-boards) Alphas keep their individual packs' statistics here in their designated sub-board, as well as display rules and plots, organize pack meetings and hunts, and generally keep their packs in order.
Ivare Tundra (4 sub-boards) There are no trees to adorn this frozen desert- the permafrost stunts the growth of plants, meaning that only lichen, heath, and moss dare to grow. Fast winds sweep across Ivare relentlessly, bringing more chill. In the summer, the topsoil thaws to turn the tundra into a temporary marsh.
Parran Tiaga This boreal forest is filled with coniferous trees such as pine trees and small-leaved deciduous trees, such as aspen. It was carved from glacial paths, the deeper gouges filling with water to create lakes. The air is chilly, but warms up enough to rain occasionally in the summer.
Shinkou Mountain Range (4 sub-boards) With these mountains being the highest altitudes of the land, it's no surprise that they sustain harsh conditions most of the year. Winds whip around the peaks, covered with snow year-round. At lower altitudes, serene springs of pure, fresh water trickle down the mountainside.
Connewa Meadow This meadow is adjacent to a wide, slow-moving river that provides ample water and fertile soil. The scent of wildflowers perfumes the air and rich green grasses are soft underfoot. Despite its serenity for the most part, Connewa is subject to heavy flooding in the Spring when the river swells with melted ice.
Lumera Valley (4 sub-boards) Lush greenery stretches across the whole territory of the Lumera Valley. Only a few outcrops of trees are scattered in multiple areas across the valley, flanked on both sides by steep rows of hills that shelter it from harsh weather. It is almost always green here, except in the winter when a beautiful blanket of snow rests on the grasses. Fireflies dance in the skies on warm summer and spring nights.
Yuliterra Prairie The Yuliterra Prairie is one of the driest places in the Eastern Lands. Long grasses of gold and green blow in the breeze across the prairie flats, and copious amounts of yellow flowers bloom everywhere. Other varieties of wildflowers and weeds grow in the space left. The Spring and Summer afford a generous amount of rain, providing small, scattered pools of water in the land's gentle curvature.
Hotali Desert Like any other desert, the Hotali is painfully hot in day and can become freezing at night. Little greenery can be found, excepting scrubby grasses and cacti. Those who do not know the territory will not discover the well-hidden networks of spacious tunnels beneath the sandy dunes, with mild temperatures and ample shelter.
Ryell Canyon The canyon is a treacherous place to get accustomed to. Sudden drop-offs, cliffs, and a raging river far below are a few of the reasons to stay alert. For this reason, the canyon is secluded. The rocky notches along the canyon walls conceal a vast amount of caves, some of which have glittering gems within them that might just be worth the danger to see.
Dteria Plains These plains are brushed with yellow grass and a few small, heat-hardy flowers, along with the occasional tree to provide a little shade. Dteria has a few pools of water here and there, though most dry up in the heat of the summer months, when they are needed most.
Yvit Cove (5 sub-boards) The sea's fingers extend into this sheltered cove, providing a private beach. Water laps gently upon the shore, and the salty coastal air is warm year round. Tall cliffs stand guard around the soft sands of this circular cove, while tufts of beach grass play in the dunes as the tide rolls in and out.
Nanjiro Swamp This wetland consists of mud and dark water; despite the seeming gloominess, the area is filled with vegetation, providing many homes for prey species that don't mind getting their feet (or fins) wet. A few water-dwelling stands of trees grow up from the swamp, sporting few leaves if any. Moss and lilypads float on the surface of the water, along with the occasional frog. Watch your step, for the deceptively shallow water is peppered with deeper sinkholes.
Salnero Jungle (3 sub-boards) The Salnero Jungle is a tropical, humid forest teeming with the widest range of species seen anywhere in the land. Elephantine plants cover the jungle floors, providing hiding places in a pinch. During summer, gem-colored butterflies flutter and birds flit around the busy jungle.
